1 day Workshop Offered this Autumn with Ongoing Training/Supervision Group starting early 2027
WHEN YOUR CLIENT GETS UNDER YOUR SKIN…
Have you ever noticed yourself feeling unusually irritated, sleepy, protective, anxious, helpless, bored, or emotionally pulled into a session?
Perhaps you find yourself wanting to rescue a client, work harder than usual, withdraw — or feeling something you can't quite explain.
What if these responses aren't simply something to manage? What if they can offer valuable information about your client’s inner world .
I'm delighted to be offering:
Working skilfully with Counter transference: Enhancing Therapeutic Contact
A one-day online experiential CPD workshop exploring countertransference from an Integrative Psychotherapy combined with a parts work perspective.
You will leave the day equipped to know and take care of your reactions and use your responses therapeutically.
Together we will explore
• Your own emotional and embodied responses in the moment
• Identify your reactions by contrast to your responses
• Differentiation between types of countertransference
• Using your experience to deepen therapeutic contact and presence
• Learn and practise The “U Turn” to recognise unaware therapist parts
The day will combine teaching, experiential exercises, clinical reflection and discussion, with an emphasis on bringing new learning directly into clinical practice.
Option to join ongoing training/supervision group starting in early 2027.
